2013-2014 Grant Information
In an effort to encourage and reward creativity and innovation in the learning process, the ALL Foundation will award grants to eligible Savannah-Chatham Public School System (SCCPSS) teachers for the 2013-14 academic year to fund classroom projects in grades PreK-12. The grants must show innovation or cutting edge programs with a proven success of achieving impressive and immediate results for students not currently available or offered in the district of particular school. The focus for the 2013-14 grant cycle is SOCIAL STUDIES.
What is the ALL Foundation?
The mission of the SCCPS Education for A.L.L. Foundation is to ignite a passion for learning and teaching at high levels by fostering the academic growth of all students; providing resources to develop and retain quality educators; and encouraging all segments of the community to actively participate in student education.
Who is eligible to apply for the grant?
All certified PreK-12 teachers currently teaching students in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System are eligible to seek funding for innovative projects.
How much money is available?
Applicants may submit grants valued between $1,000 and $2,500.
Grants should be used for classroom projects...
- that enhance the Social Studies educational experience
- that achieve some type of measurable improvement in student performance
- that improve the educational environment and foster success and excellence in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System
Grant dollars may NOT be used for...
- projects, routines supplies and/or equipment that are generally covered by the BOE
budget
- capital expenses, existing deficits, consultants, release time or administrative costs
How do I apply?
When is the application due?
The 3-part application, including the budget, must be completed and submitted on or before the deadline of August 2, 2013.

How will applications be judged?
A number of factors will be used by the grant review committee to evaluate the merit of each
proposal including, but not limited to:
- number of students involved
- potential to improve student success
- potential to make a lasting impact by replication
- cost effectiveness
- support of Social Studies curriculum
- evidence of measurable outcomes
- use of collaborations & volunteers
- innovation & creativity
What happens at the end of the project?
Each grantee will be required to submit a written final report detailing project costs, a summary of the measured student outcomes, and a description of the strengths and weaknesses of the project. Grantees and their projects may be featured in a public Project Showcase.
